Special General Meeting 2021
The Board of Directors hereby give notice in terms of Rules 29, 30 and 43 of the Constitution and Rules of the New Zealand National Party that a Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held on Saturday 26th June 2021, at the Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa, commencing at 9.30am, concluding by 4.00pm. The business to be discussed (10 Rule changes) is set out in the attached pdf document with this notice of SGM.
All Regional Councils have met to consider and discuss Rule Changes confirmed by the Board of Directors. All Regional Councils have determined to appeal all 10 Rule changes under Rules 29 and 43 (vi). The Board has therefore called the SGM to allow delegates to debate and vote on the Rule changes.
Rule 26. Specifies who is eligible to be a delegate at an Annual or Special Conference. Only appointed delegates are entitled to vote. If you have been appointed by your electorate as a delegate and are unable to attend, you are able to undertake a delegate substitution. Please contact your Regional Coordinator for a form.
The Board is mindful of the cost implications of holding this Special General Meeting, thus the cost will be $45.00 per person, to cover morning tea and lunch. Eftpos coffee carts will be available.
Unable to Attend?
If you were appointed as a delegate for your electorate, you may make a personal substitution for the SGM however a substitution form must be completed, signed and returned to your Regional Coordinator. Please contact your Regional Coordinator for a copy, or you may download a copy here. Alternatively please contact the Service Centre on 0800 255 266.
Please note that you must be a current member to be a delegate, and have been appointed/substituted by your Electorate.
SGM Delegates are the same as those appointed for the AGM. If a substitution is made, this will be for the SGM ONLY and not affect your delegateship for the AGM.
We look forward to seeing you at this year's SGM.
